This Looks Like a Job For Superman Cake! - Personal, Comic Books

We needed a dessert to follow the crustaceans at last week's drunken crab-fest. Something with a little Truth, some Justice, and maybe a touch of The American Way. This looks like a job... for Superman Cake!

He was decorated in a bit of a rush, but I'm still proud of how he turned out, all things considered.

When the cake was served, I was delighted when Joe actually requested the 'S' symbol.

Superman doesn't lie: he was devoured faster than a speeding bullet.

In case you're wondering, this was from a vintage Superman/Batman cake set that Heather got me for my birthday. My mother made me birthday cakes using this set when I was a kid. This was yet another victory for me, and thus all of mankind as well. I cannot wait to make next year's Dark Chocolate Knight.

My mother used this set as well! I still have the Batman chest piece somewhere...

We had several Sesame Street Wilton cake pans also. Those were the days! A couple years ago my sister made me a free-form 8-bit Metroid cake along this similar decorating style. It was pretty awesome.

So what kind of utensil do you use to cut and serve a Supercake?
