Find Your Fate
"Choose Your Own Adventure" books were almost as popular in the 1980s as Transformers, so it's no surprise that the two concepts would come together, albeit through a copycat series named "Find Your Fate." The art used in all nine Transformers Find Your Fate books was the most toy-centric of any storytelling medium of the era. When they weren't directly appropriating the toy-faithful package art of the character (as found throughout this site), they were obviously using the toys themselves as visual reference. As a fan of this style, I find the art throughout these books to be delightful as well as surprisingly detailed. I was tempted at one point to actually reproduce the text and the structure of these books, but eventually decided the more realistic choice was for me to archive the art and let someone else do that if they so choose. Currently featuring books one and two of nine. More to come...
